True to our roots

At one time, Indiana Avenue was home to one of the busiest jazz scenes in America, and one of its most famous clubs was George’s Bar & Orchid Room. Word has it George renamed the club The Black Orchid when he moved to a new location.

When we set up shop on Indiana Avenue, we took our name from George’s club, and our inspiration from the neighborhood’s creative legacy. Just like jazz, Black Orchid Barbers builds on what came before to create something original.
